News about Scholarships, Grants and Awards from the Professional Development Committee

During 2009, the following Scholarships were awarded:

Judith Hewitt and Joan Fuller each received higher education scholarships of $200 to
further their work towards Early Childhood Degrees.

The following grant was awarded to University of Mary Students -
18 University of Mary students attended the 2009 NDAEYC Fall Conference with the assistance of
a $600 grant for conference registration.

JoAnn Brager received the 2009 NDAEYC Meritorious Service Award for her work advocating for
young children and the early childhood profession this past year.

Coming in 2010

Higher Education/CDA Scholarships will be $400 this year

Grants for Conference Registration will be opened up to allow for group applications and more varied Conference opportunities, which will help develop the leaders in our organization. Application forms will be available early in 2010. The nomination form for the 2010 NDAEYC Meritorious Service Award will be posted on the site.
